Hi! 👋 I’m Lennart, founder of Bioinframed. Throughout my professional career, I’ve been fascinated by how smart data management and analytical workflows can accelerate discovery. Recently, I neglected my surroundings—quoting my girlfriend—to chase my dream of launching a data company.

I earned my PhD in Health Sciences & Bioinformatics in 2021. Moving into consultancy, I saw a recurring challenge: analytics often fall short when handled solely by bioinformaticians without deep biological context. The most focused work (and meaningful discoveries) happen when researchers can directly explore and analyze their own data.

To address this, I built custom platforms that enabled domain experts to access, organize, and extract value from complex data. Later, entering biotech at iTeos Therapeutics, I designed a framework used by 50+ active users and hosting more than 600 datasets, covering both preclinical and clinical studies, spanning bulk, single-cell, and spatial RNA sequencing, bulk and spatial proteomics, flow cytometry, metabolomics, survival data, and more.

Recently, I brought together everything I’ve learned on biological data management and analysis into Harmony—a platform that enables non-coding scientists and bioinformaticians to manage tabular data collaboratively, maintain a gold-standard database, and run analyses through an intuitive interface.

Nevertheless, no single platform can capture the full nuance of real research data challenges. That’s why, beyond Harmony, Bioinframed offers custom software solutions and tailored analyses. To me, bioinformatics is about more than producing tables, it’s about digging into the biology, uncovering insights, and telling stories through clear, compelling visualizations.
